House of Hackett

The Weekly Scotsman

This 1932 full page newspaper article about Pitfirrane House hangs on the wall of the Dunfermline Golf Club. The Weekly Scotsman began with Jan. 7, 1860 issue and ceased with June 29, 1967 issue. The Library of Congress has this newspaper available on microfilm.

This page reconstructs the newspaper article from photos taken during our visit to the Dunfermline Golf Club in 2019. Unfortunately, the glass covering the newspaper was reflective, and these are the best photos we could get.
